I want to thank the AFP for allowing us to post our needs. Our convent in Mirabeau Ave., in New Orleans, is totally under water, so the computers and equipment used for our web page and all our mailings, newsletters, etc. have been lost. If anyone wants to donate three computers, one scanner and one printer, we will be eternally gratefully, since our material loses are many and no insurance will ever be able to cover everything. God bless you!

I would encourage members outside the affected areas to keep checking back with this blog. It's a great idea, and much needed, but I think alot of us don't know yet what we need.
Once we can get back into our cities and take stock, we will have a better idea of what to ask for. For those wishing to give assistance, I would bet that in the near future many of us will need staples-- paper, file folders, computer supplies, etc.
My organization, Community Shares of Louisiana, represents 17 NPO's in Louisiana. We are establishing contact with them and will post their rebuilding efforts on our website, www.louisianashares.org. So far, we have only heard from 5 agencies.
Thank you to all our fellow AFP members and to AFP for helping us during these trying times.
