ABOUT AFP MEMBERS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE KATRINA AND THEIR NEEDS
Association of Fundraising Professionals | About AFP | AFP news & press releases: "ABOUT AFP MEMBERS AFFECTED BY HURRICANE KATRINA AND THEIR NEEDS
(Sept. 7, 2005) I sent out a message to all AFP members on September 2, letting them know what the organization was doing in response to Hurricane Katrina. I have received hundreds of emails from concerned members in support of their colleagues.
As a result we have set up this Web log (blog) as another communications tool to connect AFP members with those members in the affected areas.

We can offer up to 5,000 square feet of space, shared phones and internet, etc, and find housing for nonprofits who can relocate to Lancaster, PA. There's a broad support network here, including disaster relief agencies like MDS of MCC, plus Lancaster is beautiful in the Fall!

Paulette,
Thank you so very much for undertakening this AFP way to reach out to the many homeless, displaced and out of work from Katrina. As we both know from our work with the American Red Cross (ARC) (many years ago) we all still stand ready to assist. Tomorrow Sat. Sept. 17, 2005, my oldest son is driving his 18 wheeler with a load of supplies from the ARC to help do his part.
If my firm D.A. Petersen Associates, Inc. (DAPA) can be of assistance please let me know. Our website is www.dapetersenassociates.com. We have over 700 associates all over the world that could help!
Another way to help on this disaster is to shop online and your shopping will give you cash back, friends and the American Red Cross will get funds and matched funds from Pinnacle Communications from your shopping. Go to www.mplsredcross.shop4zero.org and register free to be assured to make a difference in helping others in this disaster relief effort that helps everyone!
Best Wishes! Doug Petersen, CEO DAPA
