The Daily Leader-Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance is available for charitable nonprofit organizations in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

The Daily Leader: "Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance is available for charitable nonprofit organizations in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
The policy is not new, but many charitable organizations may not be aware of its availability, said Greg Hughes, a FEMA public relations representative.

FEMA has not yet received any applications from area nonprofits, he said. "
